The future arrives at the Shanghai Motor Show courtesy of Chevrolet with an electric prototype of an autonomous car. This is a clear example of future mobility, developed precisely in the Chinese city by the GM Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center joint venture and aimed mainly at the young people of tomorrow.

The Chevrolet-FNR, with a futuristic high-tech capsule design, is characterized by a series of innovative technologies, including: laser front and rear lights, dragonfly-type swing doors, an electric motor for each wheel, a wireless charging system, sensors and radars on the roof for autonomous driving, and ignition via iris recognition.

When the car is in autonomous driving mode without the driver handling it, the front seats can rotate 180 degrees, in order to create a more intimate atmosphere and to be able to face the rear-seat passengers. The driver can also switch between autonomous and manual driving using the gesture control function, which allows the driver to take full control of the vehicle.
