Citroën launches the second edition of the Creative Awards

Would you like to be active participants in the design of a street model? Would you like to show what you are capable of designing and what you can contribute to the motoring world? Would you like to find out whether you are able to attract the attention of a target audience towards a specific model? Well, Citroën gives you that opportunity through the Citroën Creative Awards.

Following a truly successful first edition, with a great reception worldwide and more than 700 customisation projects for the Citroën DS3, the French brand has decided to launch the second edition of the Citroën Creative Awards, a competition that reinforces the brand’s slogan Créative Technologie, in which anyone wishing to take part can help improve Citroën models in every aspect.

The competition is organised around 3 major categories: Idea Contest, Video Contest and Style Contest.

Idea Contest

This is the first challenge Citroën has launched to internet users. It involves solving the problems linked to long and short journeys through ideas that could be turned into practical innovations, which make life and the time spent on board future vehicles more pleasant. The key words are safety, comfort and fun.

Video Contest

This section is intended to promote the new Citroën DS5. In this challenge, internet users are asked to create a video between 30 and 90 seconds long that reflects the advertising slogan of the third model in the line DS: The DS5 redefines the criteria of luxury. Times change, and so do the criteria. This video will be screened at various events throughout 2012.

Style Contest

The third and final challenge is centred on the world of fashion and the Citroën DS3 Ultra Prestige. The most luxurious version of this model features, among other extras, diamond-cut alloy wheels, Club leather upholstery with “Bracelet” stitching, a novel black-to-white gradient and a dashboard trimmed in white Club leather. Designers must create one or more outfits or dresses that men and/or women travelling aboard this vehicle can wear.

A total of 18,000 euros in prizes will be shared among the winners, with the winners of each category receiving 3,000 euros, the runners-up 2,000 and the third-placed 1,000. The awards ceremony will take place in Paris in early 2012. Winners in each category will be able to visit Citroën’s Virtual Reality Centre and its driving simulator, exclusively.

The competition rules and the entry form can be viewed on the website www.citroencreativeawards.com. Participants have until 15 January to show all their creativity and surprise the jury.
