Citroën SpaceTourer 4x4 Dangel, the most versatile option of the French MPV

In summer especially, we often feel like leaving home and getting lost in the mountains or on the beaches. So the best choice is a vehicle that lets us enjoy these rougher terrains with ease and immerse ourselves in nature in comfort, without sacrificing load capacity. The Citroën SpaceTourer 4×4 Dangel is therefore a good option for travelling to these more remote places without giving up the safety provided by its equipment.

This version combines all the features of an MPV with the characteristics of an off-roader, taking advantage of the Dangel automatic 4×4 all-wheel drive system, as well as a viscous coupling, sump and rear axle guard, limited-slip differential, rear differential lock and a ground clearance of 200 mm, which ensures better progress over more difficult terrain.

This drive system engages automatically when needed, without the driver having to activate it. The limited-slip differential on the rear axle provides greater safety on slippery surfaces such as mud or water. If one of the wheels loses traction, the differential allows the wheel with more grip to take over, which helps the driver maintain control with ease.

When all-wheel drive is not required, the vehicle runs in front-wheel drive only and can even disconnect the engine to coast, which considerably reduces engine consumption without losing efficiency. As for capacity, like all versions of this model, it can carry up to eight people and has a boot capacity of 798 litres, which can be increased to 3,968 litres with the seats folded down.

Looking at the equipment, there is a 7-inch screen that controls the infotainment system, and the Mirror Screen function, which allows easy connection to a smartphone. Driving safety is enhanced by the active cruise control, collision risk alert and Active Safety Brake. For easy manoeuvring and parking, it is equipped with front and rear parking assist and 180° vision (Top Rear Vision).

The Citroën SpaceTourer 4×4 Dangel is powered by a BlueHDi 150 S&S diesel engine paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, and has a starting price of €41,500.
