Classic Recreations impresses with its replica of the 1967 Eleanor Mustang

Without a doubt this muscle car is one of the best surprises of the month, as it has been a long time since a replica of an American car from yesteryear excited me so much.

The Eleanor Mustang you will see in the gallery images was built on the basis of a 1967 Shelby GT500, which received a significant number of modifications to the exterior, interior and, inevitably, the mechanics.

The American tuner began the transformation of the muscle car by fitting a high-performance engine with aluminium heads at the front, supported by a cross-flow aluminium radiator, two 12-inch cooling fans, MassFlo fuel injectors and a Serpentine belt system.

The 770 horsepower that the heart delivers is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed Tremec TKO manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic. The suspension and braking system have also been completely renewed to match the car’s performance.

The interior is fitted with racing seats, and care has been taken to replicate the characteristics of the original Eleanor in its luxury version, with aluminium and wood trim.

The exterior has received much criticism because it fails to evoke the feelings inspired by the muscle cars of the sixties; however, in my opinion the replica has everything an enthusiast could wish for from a monster of the sixties, including the famous extra power provided by nitro.

The Classic Recreations Eleanor Mustang 1967 is not for sale, but it has been reported that its construction cost around 127,830 euros at current exchange rates.
