Clicars, the Spanish company leading online second-hand car sales, closed 2022 with revenue of €382 million, which represents a 52% increase compared to the previous year. In addition, it has announced a new milestone for the sector: deliveries in two hours in Madrid.

This pioneering service, initially available in Madrid, will allow users to receive their car free of charge within two hours from the moment they make a reservation on the company’s website. With its stock of over 2,500 cars refurbished, with an average age of between 1 and 5 years and mechanically flawless, at its Villaverde factory, the largest in Europe, and its digitalised processes, Clicars will offer an improved user experience, professionalising the second-hand car trade.

Users will be able to reserve their car on the website in just one minute, manage the purchase with the advisory team in ten minutes, and receive approval and formalisation of their financing in less than an hour through bank validation, while the pre-delivery inspection and quality check is carried out, followed by delivery to their home at any point in Madrid. In addition, it offers a 15-day or 1,000-kilometre return policy so that customers can try the car with complete peace of mind.

This milestone in the online second-hand car sales sector is the result of Clicars’ obsession with putting the customer at the centre of everything it does. “The growth of our refurbishment factory in Villaverde, with a team of 300 automotive experts, as well as our essence as a technology company since we were founded in 2016, has allowed us to achieve this unique milestone, which adds value to the increasingly evident professionalisation of the second-hand market,” explains José Carlos del Valle, CEO of Clicars.

The company presents a value proposition built on four pillars for 2023: the professionalisation of car sales in the second-hand market, sustainability, the user experience and business growth. The company has become one of the engines of job creation in Madrid, where it employs a team of more than 600 people.

The company has published some interesting data on trends in the second-hand market so far in 2023. According to Clicars, 4×4 SUVs (41%), compact cars (35%) and vans (6%) are the most in-demand cars in the second-hand market. As for fuel, diesel continues to lead the ranking with 48% of sales (though down 12 points since 2022), followed by petrol cars (37%), and ECO fuel closes the ranking at 15%.

As for the favourite brands of Spanish drivers so far in 2023, Peugeot, Citroën and Volkswagen top the ranking. For 2023, Clicars has proposed breaking with industry myths by offering quality products, process safety and affordable prices; that is the commitment.
