Coda Automotive is a new Californian manufacturer that has unveiled its first electric vehicle, the Coda EV. It is a saloon with an electric motor and lithium-ion batteries that gives it a range of 160 km. Charging it takes six hours, but with just two hours of charging we already have a range of around 60 km.

The Coda EV is based on the Chinese saloon Hafei, which was originally designed by Pininfarina. The Coda EV comes with a full range of equipment, including ABS, ESP, satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and a connection for iPod and USB.

For now we don’t know more details about performance, but we do know the price, which will be around 45,000 dollars (32,228 euros), and it is expected to qualify for a US government incentive of 7,500 dollars (5,371 euros). And from the manufacturer’s website you can already reserve the first units of this interesting electric car. Besides the gallery, they have also presented a video about the Coda EV.
