Continental develops the self-healing tyre

Tyre development advances every day. They now come in different tread patterns and colours, and some even emit coloured smoke when you burn rubber. Now, Continental has come up with a truly useful innovation: a tyre that repairs itself after a puncture.
According to AutoExpress, the tyre contains a sticky, viscous inner coating that seals any puncture as soon as it occurs. The coating can fill holes up to 5 mm in diameter. Best of all, the repair is permanent, not a temporary fix until you have time to replace the wheel; it would be a permanent solution.
There are some doubts about the strength of the tyre’s structure after the repair, but Continental has confidence in its product and plans to start selling its new ContiSeal tyres in summer.
