CUPRA Ateca: the sporty SUV goes on sale from €44,900

The Cupra Ateca is now available at dealerships with a starting price of €44,900. It features a 2.0 TSI engine producing 300 CV.

Orders can now be placed for the new CUPRA Ateca. The sporty compact SUV with which the brand makes its solo debut is priced from €44,900, a genuinely attractive figure given its performance: 300 CV. The new Cupra Ateca also offers extensive standard equipment, both in terms of technology and safety.

High-performance powertrain: 300 CV

The CUPRA Ateca comes as standard with a four-cylinder 2.0 TSI engine that delivers 300 CV and 400 Nm of torque between 2,000 and 5,200 rpm. Thanks to this powerplant, the compact SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds, an exceptional figure for a SUV of this kind. This acceleration is largely made possible by the crossover’s low weight: 1,615 kg. Its top speed is 247 km/h.

The turbocharged petrol engine of the Cupra Ateca is paired with a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox, which has received specific tuning for this model in order to combine excellent performance with low consumption and emissions; the car offers a combined consumption of 7.4 litres per 100 km. In addition, the compact SUV includes a 4Drive all-wheel-drive system of the Haldex type.

Extensive standard equipment

The new CUPRA Ateca comes as standard with, among other things, a progressive steering system, a Drive Profile selector –with six different driving modes– and dynamic chassis control (DCC), which adapts the damper settings across three levels of firmness: Normal, Sport and CUPRA.

On the technology side, the car comes as standard with features such as the “Digital Cockpit” digital instrument cluster, which includes a 10.25-inch screen, or an automatic parking assistant (Park Assist). Autonomous safety is also included in the price with systems such as Front Assist (autonomous emergency braking), Traffic Jam Assist, Rear Traffic Alert and Hill Descent and Hill Start Assist.

Dynamically focused chassis

The Cupra Ateca features powerful black brake calipers. As an option, oversized, higher-performance discs signed by Brembo (€2,447.51) can be specified, in which case the 19-inch alloy wheels, finished in chrome or copper, would carry an additional cost of €907.69 or €999.54, depending on the colour chosen.

As for the interior, the car comes as standard with sporty-cut seats bearing the word CUPRA. These can optionally be replaced with leather-upholstered seats (€972.52), or with bucket seats in Alcantara fabric (€1,664.09).
