Design of the McLaren P11 back to the drawing board

The car was expected to be presented next year, but recent reports from the network reveal that the designs of the original model have been scrapped entirely, and that is possibly the reason why Frank Stephenson was hired as the new head of design.
The main reason for starting over from scratch is the incompatibility of the new design with the desired engineering, as it did not meet the requirements needed to house the 6.2 L AMG direct-injection engine coupled to a dual-clutch gearbox.
Therefore, the waiting time will be extended by another year, as the company’s plans will be affected by this setback; however, the company has not yet commented on the matter.
