Discover the new Kia Rio 2017 before its presentation at the Paris Motor Show

In a few weeks we will be up and running with the Paris Motor Show 2016, where the new Kia Rio 2017 will be unveiled, the new generation of this Korean model that aims to be an alternative to cars such as the Seat Ibiza, the Peugeot 208 or the Renault Clio, city cars with more upmarket features than the smallest ones. In this case, we are looking at a reimagining of the car, with important novelties that set it apart from its predecessor.
Its size will remain the same as far as we know, but the wheelbase will increase, which will benefit the cabin. But this will not be the only change the car has, since the exterior shows a change compared to the current version. The bodywork receives straighter lines, becoming somewhat sportier. The roofline appears to be slightly less pronounced and has a gentler slope.

The evolution of the Kia Rio is also seen in the overall design language, with an image defined by the headlights, which are framed by a front end that has also received some changes. The bonnet is somewhat larger than on the current Rio, and it is clear that this is a new car, designed to suit the tastes of new buyers.
Inside, we can also see changes, if anything more pronounced than on the exterior. The dashboard has been simplified and designed to make it easier to use. It seems that most buttons and controls have been removed, with a TFT screen that will centralise the main controls of the infotainment system.
We do not yet have information on the range of engines that Kia will make available to its buyers, as this information is being reserved for the Parisian event. In fact, there are no photographs of the model, only these conceptual drawings that show the details that will later reach the production model we will see at the Paris Motor Show. What do you think of this new Kia Rio?
