Distronic Plus and Brake Assist Plus: cutting-edge safety technology

The Distronic Plus and Brake Assist Plus systems developed by Mercedes-Benz are becoming an effective tool for accident prevention.

This is the conclusion the German brand reached after conducting an intensive study and analysis of around 16,000 traffic accidents. The analysis reveals that this advanced radar technology can reduce rear-end collisions by up to 36%.

The system warns drivers when they keep too little distance from the vehicle in front, and also provides assistance in the event of emergency braking.

Distronic Plus is a proximity system that lets you set the safe following distance you want to keep from the car ahead. If that distance decreases, the driver is warned by the system, and if the distance closes too quickly, the Brake Assist Plus system activates immediately.
