Dodge Charger Pursuit: the perfect police car for the road
The Dodge Charger Pursuit has become one of the favorites of American police officers, and the new model arriving for 2015 is specially designed for use as a vehicle for law enforcement agencies in the United States

In the United States they know how to project an image of the police that makes traffic offenders quite worried. If in Spain seeing the white and green colors of the Guardia Civil makes us break into a cold sweat even when we have not committed any offence, seeing a powerful Dodge Charger Pursuit in the rear-view mirror must be truly unnerving.
With a black bodywork and a decidedly aggressive look, it is considered one of the best vehicles used by law enforcement agencies in several states of the union. There are more and more of these units, optimized for police work on American roads, and the new version due in 2015 improves on that look.
This new version of the Dodge Charger Pursuit features a cross-shaped grille and LED daytime running lights. Overall, the new model looks even more aggressive and perfectly fulfills the role assigned to it: upholding law and order.
Inside, it is fitted with a series of systems that also aim to help officers carry out their duties. The Chrysler Uconnect system features a 5-inch touchscreen, together with a USB connector and Bluetooth for hands-free phone use, all as standard.

To make the Dodge Charger Pursuit ever more effective for police work, advice was taken from several police consultants, so the interior has been built to be compatible with the police accessories sold for vehicles. As a result, it leaves the factory already ready for its role as a official car.
As for the engine, it comes with two powertrains. The first is a Pentastar V6 unit capable of delivering 292 CV, while the V8 produces 370 CV. Both engines will be available with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. The packages include everything needed to equip a police car, including bulletproof doors for the driver and front passenger.
