Dodge Ram 1500 REV: the most technologically advanced pick-up

Ram Truck unveiled at the New York International Auto Show its latest innovation, the Ram 1500 REV 2025, a fully electric light-duty pick-up truck. The brand focuses on delivering future electrified solutions across its entire vehicle line to provide its customers with advanced, cutting-edge technology in the years ahead, becoming a leader in the electric truck industry.

The Ram 1500 REV 2025 is available in five versions, including Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Limited and, introducing a brand-new version, Tungsten.

The company says it will continue to offer electric solutions and redefine the truck segment, as Mike Koval Jr., CEO of the brand Ram, stated: “Our new Ram 1500 REV outperforms the competition in the areas customers care about most, such as range, towing, payload and charging time.”

The new Dodge gives customers two fully electric options. The first comes with a standard 168 kWh battery offering a range of up to 563 kilometers. The other version of the pick-up features an optional large 229 kWh battery, offering a range of up to 563 km, unmatched. In just 10 minutes, it can charge the battery to 177 km thanks to its 800-volt DC fast-charging system of up to 350 kW.

Striking exterior

The new Ram is built on the new STLA frame, designed specifically for full-size electric vehicles. This body-on-frame design allows for efficient integration of the battery pack and provides protection.

It features an independent rear multi-link suspension with air suspension at all four corners as standard, with an active level system including damping tuned to deliver a smooth, comfortable ride. The pick-up’s wheels are fitted with a central aluminum disc (rims) measuring 22 by 9 inches, on which the rubber tire is mounted. They are wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion all-season tires, which ensure optimal performance in any weather condition.

It is equipped with high-quality LED headlights featuring an illuminated “tuning fork” design and a new illuminated “RAM” badge with a modern, contemporary style. It also includes a one-touch electric frunk offering generous storage space of 424 liters.

The wheel arches have been enlarged and widened to accommodate 20- or 22-inch all-terrain wheels

The most technologically advanced pick-up in history
The new Ram features an advanced Uconnect 5 system. On the dashboard, we find a new 14.5-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel. The passenger screen, the rearview mirror and the front display are also digitized and provide information on power flow, driving history, charging schedules, Plug and Charge, maximum battery level, state of charge, power, range and battery temperature.

The gear selector is electronic, with P/R/N/D functionality and new buttons for eco mode, axle locking and hill descent control. It also integrates a button to open and close the frunk and a redesigned start button that now features an illuminated power symbol.

The passenger screen features touch control and includes Co-Pilot functions, entertainment and the ability to view the vehicle’s exterior cameras. It also includes an HDMI connector

so occupants can connect their phone or tablet.

Cutting-edge interior
Authentic, premium materials include carbon fiber, metal and leather elements that combine to deliver a level of luxury seen only in a Ram truck.

It features a luxurious, sophisticated interior with dual-texture metal accents in a semi-gloss/platinum patina with diamond knurling, suede-trimmed headliner, A and B pillars and sun visors. The premium quilted leather front seats are electrically adjustable with heating and ventilation, electric lumbar support, four-way electric headrests and a massage function.

It has an ultra-premium sound system, Klipsch Reference Premiere, which uses 23 specifically tuned speakers and a high-performance 12-inch subwoofer
