Electric saloon project: Luxgen Neora

The Luxgen Neora is yet another electric concept, hard to swallow because of its technical boasting, and one that many companies and brands that have jumped headfirst into electric cars have yet to match. Let us begin by saying that this little-known Taiwanese manufacturer claims the Neora can cover 400 kilometres of range and reach a top speed of 250 km/h.

If a look of doubt has not yet crossed your face, let us move on to the technical specifications. The Neora’s electric motor would produce 241 bhp and accelerate this saloon to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. All of this despite the fact that the saloon would weigh around 1,600 kilos.

Apparently its aerodynamic penetration is good, which is beyond dispute. But returning to the “gaps”, it would be good if they told us which batteries the Neora will use, since no one can get below at least 8 hours of charging, if it claims that they can be charged to 80% in one hour.

The Neora is a design exercise, with interiors you can probably already imagine: technologically flawless, very futuristic and eye-catching and, on top of that, using recycled materials. Yet all of this amounts to nothing until we see that the Neora can one day be produced and fulfil everything it promises.
