Elon Musk sets a price on trips to Mars
The entrepreneur sets the budget for trips to our neighboring planet
Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, not only is clear that space travel is already a business but has also set a reference amount for the cost of tickets, that is, the price of trips to Mars.
And if the head of this company and others with great aspirations and future projections has dared to announce this estimate, making it public through a post on Twitter, it is because he has the calculations worked out and the numbers well defined.
According to Musk, the price of a trip on one of his rockets, known as Starship/Super Heavy, bound for Mars could cost less than half a million dollars.

But, in addition to already setting a not-too-outlandish reference price for the kind of adventure he proposes, the entrepreneur himself warns that this price could be even lower.
From 500,000 dollars it could be reduced to 100,000. Demand and the progressive popularization of these trips could bring about a reduction in the fare for these space journeys.
An activity that could begin in the year 2028. That is when Musk intends to establish a human colony on Mars.

Trips to Mars, 2-for-1
And it is not that Elon Musk is promoting his trips. Nor has he opened a sales period, but he has already announced that the trip to Mars will include the return trip in the sale price.
Aware that travelers might want to return at some point, the Martian journey will include a round trip to Earth.
With an estimated price close to 500,000 dollars, or even below 100,000 as the entrepreneur himself has announced, he hopes to encourage interested parties to book a ticket bound for the red planet, with another one guaranteed for the return to the blue one.
