Fast and Furious in crisis! Roman Pierce's ultimatum to

Tyrese Gibson, the actor who plays Roman Pierce, has set social media on fire with a threat that could seriously affect the new installment of Fast and Furious.

The car saga par excellence, Fast and Furious, is going through one of its most turbulent moments after the inflammatory statements made by Tyrese Gibson on his social media. The actor who plays Roman Pierce claims that Dwayne Johnson, aka “The Rock”, is to blame for the ninth installment of the saga being delayed. According to Tyrese, the delay is because the film’s producers want to benefit Johnson and his future projects. In response to this accusation, The Rock has remained silent, which has only fueled the controversy. In this context, Tyrese Gibson has threatened to leave the cast of Fast and Furious if Dwayne Johnson appears on the set of the next film.

Fast and Furious 9

The actor who plays Roman Pierce posted the following message on his Instagram account: “Hello world… Hello loyal and beloved fans of our Fast Universe… I’m sorry to announce that if Dwayne is in Fast 9 you will no longer see Roman Pierce. If you mess with my family and the survival of my daughters, I mess with yours… Close your eyes because you’re a ‘Clown’. That’s the whole truth. Men of integrity. My true friends stand up… Friends who go to the gym and get big naturally. No shakes or steroids, no ‘spin-off’, huh? A ‘spin-off’ for this selfish champion… A pause to notice the one who has his arms around my neck and who carries on alone. Our children matter”.

Apparently Tyrese Gibson has been affected by the delay of Fast and Furious 9, as he is going through a difficult personal and financial situation. The actor is fighting for custody of his daughter at a time when debts are piling up: “I’m nearly bankrupt from paying taxes,” the actor said.

We don’t yet know whether Gibson will leave the saga or not, but he is not the only cast member who has threatened to leave the film: Michelle Rodriguez (“Letty” in the film) is also considering leaving the saga if the next installment does not “show more love for the women of the franchise“.

For the moment, the new installment of Fast and Furious has been delayed until 2020.
