Ferrari investigates spontaneous fires in its 458 Italia

Several cases have been documented on this very site of Ferrari 458 Italia wrecked in accidents and even engulfed in flames. Just take a look at posts such as Ferrari 458 Italia wrecked or Another Ferrari 458 Italia crashed.

As you can see, these posts share something in common: a human error that ends with the car smashed up. So far so good, but what about the 458 Italia cars that have gone up in flames spontaneously?

According to The Telegraph, Ferrari is already investigating these incidents in an attempt to put a stop to all those spontaneous combustion cases that are making the 458 Italia’s short but fiery life anything but calm.

Frankly, waiting in a long list for three full years to receive your wonderful Ferrari 570-hp V8, only for it to catch fire without you being able to do anything about it, is rather sad.
