Ferrari "Passes" the 599M to launch a new model

About a year ago, Amadeo Felisa had us rubbing our hands together with statements in which Ferrari outlined its intention to renew its entire model range by introducing what they would call M versions or “modified” at four-year intervals.
A very eye-catching way of keeping the market happy with updated models while the new models and successors to the current ones are developed, something similar to what all brands have done so far with their restyles.
Well, according to MotorTrend, this idea still remains in the minds of the Italian brand’s executives, although with nuances, since, for example, the 599 will not receive this version, but will instead be directly replaced by its generational successor.

Well, at this point, the new model will apparently feature attractive elements such as a chassis made from an aluminium alloy, formed from more than 20 different alloys, to which the same 6.3-litre V12 engine currently fitted to the FF will be paired, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
As for dates, based on the most optimistic forecasts, this new vehicle with 700 hp is expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2012, so we should not have to wait long to see the first test mules of Ferrari running all over Italy and, above all, the Nürburgring.
