Fiat 500 Collezione: special edition from €12,100
The Fiat 500 continues to post very strong sales figures for the Italian brand, and one of the keys to that success is its special editions. The latest to arrive is the Fiat 500 Collezione.
More than 74,000 units of the Fiat 500 were sold in Europe in the first four months of 2018, the best figure since the Fiat 500 went on sale. In Spain, the city car Fiat remains among the 10 best-selling models over this period, leading its segment with more than 9,300 units. It can therefore be said that the Fiat 500 is not going out of fashion.

Quite the opposite. It is the special editions that the Italian brand has been launching for the Fiat that keep this charming model appealing, and it now adds another one to its collection, quite literally. The new Fiat 500 Collezione, available in 3-door hatchback and convertible bodies, pays special attention to personalisation.

Externally it stands out from the rest of the range thanks to specific chrome trim on the bonnet, the bumper and the mirror housings, plus the “Collezione” logo signature on the tailgate. The alloy wheels are 16 inches, and for the bodywork you can choose between two-tone finishes – white with grey or green – or white, blue and ivory colours, the last three with a decorative tricolour stripe.

Inside, the dashboard is finished in the same colour as the bodywork, and there are upholstered seats with two-tone trim and an embroidered “500” logo, as well as specific floor mats with the “Collezione” logo. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, electric mirrors, speed limiter and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. As an option, for €600 you can fit the Uconnect Link Nav system with a 7-inch screen compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which includes navigation with TomTom maps. The city pack includes rain sensors, light sensors and parking sensors, for €300.

Although the list price of the Fiat 500 Collezione on the brand’s configurator is €15,900, at the official press presentation Fiat announced that this model will be available with a final price, including promotions and financing through the brand, from €12,100, including the 4-year warranty extension. There is no choice when it comes to the engine: the Fiat 500 Collezione can only be had with the most basic engine in the range, the 1.2 petrol with 69 CV, which limits the Fiat 500’s range to mainly urban journeys.
