Finally, Bertone will have to auction six cars from its private collection at Villa d'Este

Lili Bertone could not save much more than what remained of the private collection that the Italian coachbuilder had so jealously guarded, since RM Auctions will finally auction six of these cars publicly at Villa d’Este in a few days.
The auctions will start at prices ranging from 85,000 to 2.5 million dollars, and the models that may be bought will be the Lamborghini 1967 Marzal prototype, Lancia 1970 Stratos HF Zero, 1963 Chevrolet Testudo, Lamborghini 1974 Bravo, Lamborghini 1980 Athon and the Lancia 1978 Sibilo.
Let us remember that Nuccio Bertone’s widow had spent several months making efforts with Italian politicians and businessmen so that these six cars would not be sold and would remain in Italy, as jewels of Italian industrial development.
Needless to say, each of these cars has a significance within Bertone like few others. If you look closely, you will see that most of them date from the period when Bertone was at its most prolific with its concept cars: the late sixties and early seventies.
