First images of the Maserati Quattroporte 2013.

The new Maserati Quattroporte 2013 will make its official debut at the Detroit 2013 show, although we can already share the first images of the new Quattroporte. The design changes are subtle but, from my point of view, very well judged, giving it a look closer to the Gran Coupe.

Some elements remain unchanged, especially in the side design, such as the three side air intakes or the triangular C-pillar. At the front the grille stays, but new, sleeker and far more modern and sporty headlights appear. Just like the rear, which also gets new light clusters.

The interior maintains a sublime quality and many controls have been simplified. The infotainment system now features a large screen from which all of its functions are controlled. If you have a keen eye, you’ll surely recognise some of the buttons from models such as Chrysler (light controls, windows or boot release).

According to the brand’s own statement, the changes don’t only affect the styling, the chassis has also been improved, weight has been reduced and ergonomics have been enhanced to optimise the driving experience.

Finally, under the bonnet we will still find engines developed between Ferrari and Maserati, we know a V8 will exist, but for now we don’t know its power output or other details, and we will keep a close eye on any news.

  1. AVANTI L´ITALIA says:
