First official images of the 2010 SRX

Having been photographed just recently with little camouflage, GM has now officially shown the look that the new generation of the SRX will have when it goes on sale in mid-2009, thus confirming the clear similarities seen with the Provoq prototype from the Las Vegas CES.
The new SRX has nothing to do with the one it replaces, since it uses a new platform (the Theta it shares with the 9-4X), has front-wheel drive instead of rear-wheel drive (it can also be specified with all-wheel drive), and its size and looks are more in line with today’s SUVs.
Regarding the Provoq, the exterior differences are few, but mechanically it will launch with the 3.6 V6 petrol engine fitted to the CTS instead of the E-Flex hybrid, although a green option in the future is not ruled out.
The interior also boasts very good quality and presentation to ensure it doesn’t carry the stigma of poor build quality that American models often have.
The remaining details will probably appear soon, and its presentation is expected at the Detroit Motor Show in January of next year, but with these photos it will surely convert many skeptics when they see the work achieved by the American brand.
