General Motors has released a series of photos of the Buick Regal for the United States. As we already knew, it is nothing more than the Opel rebadged which has allowed the company to make a significant cost reduction.

Under its hood we can find two different petrol engines: the cheaper option is a 2.4-litre block producing 182 CV , and the more powerful one will in principle be a 2.0i Turbo of 220 CV. In both cases, it comes with a six-speed automatic gearbox, although it can also be driven in a sequential manner.

This model also features a MacPherson front suspension with a StabiliTrak stability control system and, optionally, Interactive Drive Control (SIAC), with three selectable driver-adjustable suspension modes. As for its launch in the United States, it will be available from the second quarter of the year , although the 2.0i Turbo version will have to wait until summer 2010. Finally, it is worth noting that all versions come as standard with ESP, heated seats, XM satellite radio, leather package and TCS, among other features.
