First official photo and details of the Hyundai i20

The Paris Motor Show is just around the corner, and some brands have already unveiled the previews that will be on display at their stands. Among the latest is Renault, which only recently published the first images of the new Mégane III, and now Hyundai joins the list, presenting the successor to the Getz, the i20.
The model is the compact that will be positioned between the i10 and the i30, and it has been designed at the Korean firm’s studio in Rüsselsheim, Germany, to suit European standards, one of its most important markets. It will be available, like the Getz, in both three and five-door versions.
Besides it, Hyundai will also show in Paris the eco version of the same car, the i20 Blue. It will be fitted with a 90-horsepower 1.4 CRDi diesel engine and 220 Nm of torque which, combined with low-friction tyres and aerodynamic changes, will achieve very low consumption and emissions, with an estimated figure of 4 litres per 100 km.
But these won’t be the only novelties from Hyundai, as the Paris show will also feature a hybrid prototype of the Santa Fe and the already famous Genesis Coupé, whose sale on the continent was already confirmed. The former will be a regular model with an auxiliary 30 kW electric motor to achieve a consumption of 6.2 litres per 100 km. Below is the high-resolution image:
