First spy photos of the Saab 9-3X revealed

A contributor to Trollhattansaab.net, Djup Strupe, managed to capture some snapshots of an internal video from the Swedish brand to show us this: the Saab 9-3X. Or at least that is the name it is expected to carry.

To be more specific, it is the off-road version of the 9-3 estate body. The equivalent of the Audi A4 Avant Allroad or the XC70 of its neighbour Volvo. Thanks to XWD all-wheel drive, higher ground clearance and a series of protective cladding and trim around its bodywork, Saab’s entry-level saloon is set to venture beyond the tarmac.

This is a type of model that was highly appreciated in its origins too; furthermore, in the background traces of the 9-4X can be seen, although very little of it can be made out.

The 9-3X is believed to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show rather than London, as had also been suggested. On the other hand, the 9-5 will do the same but in Geneva.
