Ford GT40 Roadster unveiled at Pebble Beach
This beautiful Ford GT40 convertible was unveiled at Pebble Beach, causing a sensation among those present thanks to its carefully crafted design and its classic look.
The elegance and sense of good taste that could be felt at this year’s Pebble Beach festival knew no bounds, and one of the finest examples was undoubtedly the beautiful Ford GT40 Roadster you can see in the images. Max Girardo, as in so many other editions of this festival, once again surprised everyone, this time at the wheel of this beautiful model. Max has attended this festival more than 20 times.

With the GT40, Max Girardo entered the prestigious Concours d’Elegance for the first time at this famous event. This Ford is also special for one reason: it carries chassis number #108, it is the only surviving example of this Roadster version and therefore one of the most important examples of the legendary victories of Ford at Le Mans.

Max Girardo shared these words: “Showing a car at Pebble Beach is an absolutely different experience from going as a spectator. The attention and the looks you receive are a bittersweet feeling that you don’t get as a spectator. In fact, it’s more fun, because this way you have something to keep an eye on, you are much more involved and more aware of what is happening at the event.“

This convertible version of the GT40 has been used to develop prototypes, which are available under Girardo’s own offer. They are identical versions of this model, which is a true gem for any lover of good taste and classic cars.
This car is a great starting point at the festival, in the words of Girardo himself: “I think everyone imagines that when you go to Pebble Beach, you do so in a Ferrari worth 40 million dollars or a fully restored Rolls Royce from the 1930s. Having done it now, however, I have realised that this is not the case; after all, this event is not just about novelties or exclusivity, but about interest in cars and their preservation.“

The sensations this car gave Girardo made him fall in love again with classic American sports cars. He especially highlighted its handling and sound above all else. The car produced a spectacular and powerful sound and, apparently, it was really easy to drive.
The Ford GT40 Roadster was entered in the post-war sports car category alongside the Maserati A6GCS Frua Spyder and the Ford GT40 MKIIB. Girardo chose not to have the car judged.

It only remains to highlight the fact that cars like this make one a lover of this crazy world of motoring. An absolute gem in every sense.
