Frankfurt Motor Show 2017, all the news live
The 67th edition of the Frankfurt International Motor Show is already here, and Highmotor brings you, live, all the news and launches.

Once again Highmotor is attending the Frankfurt Motor Show, one of the most important motoring events in the world.
From this post you will be able to follow, live, all the news and launches of the 67th edition of the IAA, which promises to be exciting and full of innovations.
Audi A8

The new generation of the A8 has been completely renewed. Its look remains very traditional, but the technological load is absolutely overwhelming, establishing it as the true benchmark both in its segment and in the market as a whole. Diesel and petrol hybrid engines and autonomous driving systems combine to create a genuine monster of the asphalt.
BMW M5

The new generation of the German high-performance saloon has been presented for the first time at the European event par excellence. Its potential is greater than ever, with a twin-turbo V8 engine that for the first time reaches 600 CV, and an innovative permanent all-wheel-drive system capable of sending power to the rear axle with just the press of a button.
Mercedes-AMG Project One

One of the great stars -and that is no exaggeration- of the IAA 2017 is the Mercedes-AMG Project One. Presented by none other than Lewis Hamilton, the Project One is a genuine F1 car with a road-going body, equipped with the almost identical 1.6 V6 engine of the racing single-seaters and four electric motors, delivering more than 1000 CV. Only 300 units will be built, at a unit price of around 2.5 million euros.
Mercedes-Benz Clase S 2018

The Mercedes S-Class is renewed with slight aesthetic details and greater technological content. It debuts redesigned light clusters, a new grille and new, more efficient engines. In addition, the interior features new designs for the steering wheel and the instrument cluster, more advanced than ever.
Mercedes-Benz Clase X

The latest addition to the Mercedes family is not a luxury vehicle, nor a convertible, nor a cutting-edge sports car. It is, no more and no less, a pick-up. We are talking about the Clase X, an industrial-style vehicle based on the Nissan Navara, although with its own design and an interior worthy of the star.
BMW Z4 Concept

The Bavarian firm breaks with its design trend with a much more aggressive look on its new Z4 concept, which anticipates the lines of the next generation of BMW.
Ford Mustang 2018

The pony car par excellence also shows its new look at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new Mustang enjoys a renewed exterior and an interior with higher quality and more technical capabilities. The engines comply with the Euro 6c standard, and the V8 debuts an automatic gearbox with 10! ratios.
Hyundai Kona

The Hyundai Kona is one of the major new arrivals at the show. A small B-segment crossover, with a youthful and carefree style and a fully customisable interior. It will be available only with front-wheel drive, fitted with three- and four-cylinder diesel and petrol engines.
Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster y Huracán Performante

The Italian house launches two new special models of its sports cars. The Aventador S Roadster becomes the ultimate expression of sportiness of the brand’s flagship, while the Huracán Performante embraces dynamism and aggressiveness.
Porsche Cayenne 2018

The third generation of the Cayenne has arrived completely renewed, although with a conservative design compared to its predecessor. The interior, with Panamera touches, improves its ergonomics and technological content. The Cayenne’s powertrain will be based on supercharged V6 and V8 engines.
Porsche 911 GT3 Touring Series

The “rear-engined” icon par excellence improves its range with the arrival of the GT3 Touring Series, a more “civilised” version of the GT3 sports car. Without a rear spoiler and with a manual gearbox as standard, it keeps an almost race-car interior and a powerful naturally aspirated flat-six engine of 500 CV, with which it comfortably exceeds 300 km/h.
Renault Megane RS

The latest expression of sportiness for the diamond-badged brand is called Megane and is named RS. Its widened body, alloy wheels and exhaust system hint at the potential of a model that for the first time in its history reaches 300 CV, fitted with the acclaimed 4Control four-wheel steering system.
SEAT Arona y SEAT León Cupra R

The Spanish firm arrives strongly at the IAA 2017. Its main bet is the Arona, a B-segment SUV that will surely become one of the best sellers of the moment, thanks to a very attractive design and a very complete range of engines, combined with a very reasonable starting price.

In addition, SEAT has presented the León Cupra R. This model, a special edition limited to 799 units, becomes the most powerful and fastest SEAT in history with a 2.0 TSI engine of 310 CV, also including an exclusive aerodynamic package and chassis improvements.
Skoda Karoq

The Karoq is the Czech firm’s latest bet for the compact SUV segment. With a look similar to its bigger brother, the Kodiaq, the new Skoda shares numerous components with the SEAT Ateca. The Karoq stands out with a more refined interior and a more technological profile, being the first Skoda in history to use a 100% digital instrumentation system.
Ssangyong Rexton

The Ssangyong Rexton has been completely renewed, giving rise to a new generation that promises to become the flagship of the Korean firm, with a very elegant design and build quality never seen before. Its technological content is also greater than ever, offering a 180 CV diesel engine.
Volkswagen Polo

The new generation of the Polo is another of the standout new arrivals at the IAA 2017. The update of the German city car is completely renewed with a more mature design, a greater length and, for the first time, using the MQB modular platform. In addition, the new Polo stands out for its technology, using elements unprecedented in its segment such as the Virtual Cockpit.
Volkswagen Up! GTI

The entry-level model of the VW range improves its offering with the arrival of the GTI variant. This model perfectly embodies the spirit of the original GTI, with a 1.0 TSI engine of 115 CV, a weight of around one tonne and a very sporty design full of details.
Volkswagen T-Roc

The new VW SUV is presented with a very attractive design and a clear intention to dominate its segment. This model, again built on the MQB platform, offers numerous engine options and an attractive interior design, although with somewhat scarce build quality for its segment.
