Fuel card loyalty schemes: a smart way to save money
Loyalty cards from the various petrol stations are a great option for getting discounts and financial benefits.

A car may be more or less modern, more or less powerful, more or less technological, more or less advanced. However, there is always one factor common to each and every one of them, whatever their nature… they need fuel to move, and 98% of them run on fossil fuel derived from oil.
Yes, it is true that nobody particularly enjoys paying when we use our vehicle. However, fuels are a fundamental part of the cycle of using our car, which are increasingly advanced and efficient, but which still need the best fuels to carry us from one place to another.
There are discount cards that offer savings of up to 7 cents of a euro per litre of fuelA vehicle also has numerous needs. Petrol stations have learned to adapt to customers’ demands, and they now offer a growing number of services, more convenient and more useful for users. Gone are the days when, for example, the shelves of a petrol station held little more than a can of Castrol oil; they have become an extension of our needs.
Our cars now consume less and are cleaner to run, but if we want to save as much as possible on fuel spending, the loyalty cards of petrol stations are an excellent option for adding up cents every time we fill up our car’s tank.
Each company offers a range of benefits, which to a greater or lesser extent are always focused on reducing the price per litre, a reduction that is usually then translated into a discount or gifts that can be very useful in our day-to-day lives.

These kinds of cards, as a rule, offer more generous discounts when we refuel with premium fuels, indirectly improving the health of our engine while saving a good amount of money with every refuelling.
In addition, using these loyalty cards could not be simpler. Simply arrive at our petrol station BP or another company’s, and when we finish refuelling, present our card, something that is increasingly convenient. In fact, we can even carry our card on our smartphone, so we avoid needlessly bulking up our wallet.
One of the most popular loyalty cards is the Mi BP Card. The British oil company offers up to 7 cents of savings per litre, so that the more we refuel, the more we save. With these solutions, an average Spanish driver who covers around 15,000 kilometres a year could save close to a hundred euros annually, knowing too that they will receive the best possible service at all times.
