Geely Lynk & Co is going to change the way we drive around the world with this car... Or so it says

Everyone knows that Volvo has passed into the hands of the Chinese company Geely, which has been one of those that has experienced strong growth in the market thanks to these moves. But the European company is not the only business project the company has, and in one of them, Geely Lynk & Co, it is going to present a model that, we are told, is set to be part of the change in the way we understand driving and the use of our cars.

This seems like a lot to us, all the more so given that we are not going to see much of this model, only a small teaser showing the car covered by a cloth, without letting us clearly see what lies beneath the blanket. But they have shared some information about it and, as we’ve been told, it will be the “most connected car in the world to date“. Something that, considering the efforts all manufacturers have made to advance in this area, is quite a claim.

A model that will “break” the industry

In the revealed image, we see a rather attractive front, with a headlight that protrudes slightly. The front is quite rounded and looks voluminous, although its shape and size remind us of a small crossover. At the rear you can see a spoiler and a look also very close to that of a car in this segment, so it has every chance of being a model that falls into that range. But what intrigues us is the comment about the technological equipment.

Alan Visser, the company’s CEO, claims that this model “will push the automotive industry to its limits“. These statements make us wonder what this model will have that makes it so special. The head of the company is clear on the point. For a century the industry has worked to improve car production, and now times have changed. For buyers, the engine is no longer the most important factor when choosing a car, and now connectivity takes priority.

But don’t worry, because only a couple of days remain before this model is presented in full. We know nothing about it yet, but they have managed to pique our interest. What lies beneath that red cloth?
