Gladiator XL, the module that turns your pick-up into a camper vehicle

The campervan conversions of work vehicles are a trend that keeps growing. It doesn’t matter whether they are large or small vans, and now even pick-ups can be converted into campers. That is the goal of Hotomovil, a company that has already built several vehicles, such as the Ronin XL, based on the Fiat Dobló.

The Gladiator XL is a module that can be fitted to a large pick-up, turning the tough work vehicle into a well-equipped motorhome. The Gladiator XL module is 3.73 metres long and 2.10 metres wide. In the Extended version, the roof extends to 4.17 metres, covering the upper part of the cab.

Inside, two people can comfortably be accommodated, thanks to the interior height of 1.96 metres. Comfort is provided, in part, by the module’s insulation. The 20 mm polyurethane insulation fitted to the module’s walls helps keep the temperature stable, whether it is cold or hot.

Among the equipment installed in the Gladiator XL, a 90-litre fridge and a two-burner kitchen stand out. The storage areas are quite spacious and include a wardrobe for clothes. The rest seats convert into a comfortable bed for one person. With several optional extras, the conversion module’s capacity can accommodate up to five people.

This module is designed for large American pick-ups. It requires a minimum length of 2.10 metres and a minimum vehicle width of 1.85 metres. It is designed for models such as the Ford 150, 250 or 350, the GMC Sierra 1500 to 3500 and the RAM 1500 and 3500, among others. There is another module, called Gladiator, designed for smaller European pick-ups. In this case, the module reproduces everything the larger version offers, but at a smaller size.

The price of the module starts at 17,900 euros and goes up to 32,800 euros for the Exclusive version. Hotomovil will be present at the 2023 Düsseldorf Caravan Show, where they will present this and other products.
