The GM Hummer EV goes camping at SEMA 2021

As every year, Las Vegas hosts the SEMA show, the most important vehicle customisation fair in the world. There, many American manufacturers unveil the most impactful novelties to turn their vehicles into highly original proposals. GM has prepared a complete camper conversion pack for its flagship vehicle, the Hummer EV.

With all these add-ons, the owner of one of these vehicles will be able to enjoy not only the return of this legendary vehicle in the form of an electric off-roader, but will also be able to use it as a camping vehicle. The company has announced that it will present three units of the Hummer, two of them as pick-ups and one SUV, conveniently fitted with add-ons to turn them into camping and adventure vehicles.

Plenty of customisation possibilities

The customisation possibilities of the Hummer are quite extensive and feature several novelties that will be shown at this event, one of the most anticipated of the year. The three show vehicles will have several add-ons, although there are more elements that can be added in other configurations, always aiming to meet the owner’s needs and tastes.

Among the elements added to the show cars are towing hooks, a bonnet vinyl and other elements that reinforce their image and off-road use. But in addition to the spectacular Hummers designed for leisure time and outdoor getaways, GM will show equipment to convert it into motorhomes in an adventure version.

An electrically operated hard tonneau cover, an off-road recovery kit, LED light bars for the roof, other auxiliary LED light groups, protectors with added auxiliary steps, a vertical mount for the pick-up bed to carry the spare wheel, plus a considerable amount of rear storage elements.

All these parts, from the tent installed at the rear of the vehicle down to the smallest detail, have been designed specifically for the GM Hummer. With all of this, each buyer will be able to have their own customised Hummer according to what they need. We know that in Spain the Hummer is going to have serious problems being sold, but it remains one of the most anticipated electric off-roaders.

The Hummer pick-up will arrive next year, while the powerful SUV version will arrive in 2023.
