Here it is! This is the Brabus version of the Smart #5
If you were eager to see the high-performance version of the Smart #5 developed by Brabus, the wait is over.
Less than three weeks after the official presentation for the European market of the Smart #5, we were surprised to find that all the details about the high-performance version of this electric SUV developed in collaboration with the German firm Brabus have already come to light. A top-tier version, with which Smart aims to position itself as a benchmark in the market within the segment to which this model belongs.
Taking a look at its technical specifications, we quickly realise that we are dealing with a very special vehicle. With its dual electric motor setup, which provides all-wheel drive and delivers a combined output of 475 kW, the Smart #5 Brabus is capable of reaching 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, according to the manufacturer.

These figures sit slightly above those of the top versions of the range, Pulse and Summit Edition, announced so far. These versions offer a combined output of 432 kW and need 4.9 seconds to reach 100 km/h from a standstill. The difference is, in any case, much more pronounced when we look at the specifications of the entry-level Pro version of the range, which has a single 250 kW motor and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds.
Brabus has done it again
The Smart #5 Brabus is, without a doubt, a different kind of vehicle. This is noticeable in details such as the fact that this high-performance version features simulated engine sounds when Brabus mode is activated. This electric SUV stands out not only for its on-road behaviour, but also shines when it comes to stopping to recharge before continuing the journey.
According to the manufacturer, thanks to its 800V architecture, the Smart #5 Brabus is capable of increasing the charge level of its battery pack going from 10 to 80 per cent charge in just 18 minutes, while the maximum supported charging power is 400 kW. Not bad, especially considering that there are hardly any charging points in Europe offering that 400 kW. The WLTP range, on the other hand, is the same as that of the Pulse and Summit Edition versions, which are capable of covering 540 km on a single charge.

In terms of styling, the Smart #5 Brabus features 21-inch wheels designed by the German firm itself, while the red brake calipers and the more aggressive look of this model underline its sporty character. Inside, it has heated and ventilated front seats, heated but not ventilated rear seats, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with an illuminated Brabus logo, sports pedals and customisable ambient lighting with 256 colours.

For Dirk Adelmann, the current head of the Smart division for Europe, this model is the flagship of the brand. A vehicle that, in his own words, stands out for its combination of powerful dynamics, advanced connectivity and high-quality finishes.
Finally, it should be noted that, as far as we know today, in Germany the Smart #5 Brabus will have a price of 60,900 euros, four thousand euros more than the Summit Edition version. It will be available for orders from 24 April 2025, with the first deliveries planned by the manufacturer for next June.
