Hispano-Suiza Carmen Boulogne, the Spanish supercar heading to the Geneva Motor Show

If the Hispano-Suiza Carmen already seems to us a spectacular electric supercar, the Barcelona-based brand wants to surpass it with this special edition at Geneva

Hispano Suiza Carmen Electrico

Hispano-Suiza is a Spanish brand that enjoyed its moment of splendour during the first half of the 20th century, but eventually disappeared from the market. Until very recently, when it was revived with a supercar that marked its return to the automotive world. That model had a woman’s name, and a very Spanish one at that. The Hispano-Suiza Carmen surprised many, and now we will have the opportunity to see a special edition of this supercar at the Geneva Motor Show.

It is the Hispano-Suiza Carmen Boulogne, which will be presented at the Swiss event and which pays tribute to one of the classic models of the Spanish brand. The Boulogne was a racing car that competed in races during the 1920s and will lend its name and spirit to the brand’s new model.

Special tribute model

This variant has been developed by the Unique Tailormade division, which handles this kind of special project on the brand’s vehicles. Working alongside them is the company QEV, also based in Barcelona, which specialises in designing and developing solutions for Formula E cars, supercars and even high-consumption car companies.

As this is a very special vehicle and there are strong security measures surrounding it, Hispano-Suiza has not wished to reveal too many details and keeps a great deal of information about it under wraps. It will not be until the day the Geneva Motor Show opens its doors that the company unveils the particularities of a model that, from what we know so far, promises to be quite spectacular.

Hispano-Suiza Carmen

We recall the Hispano-Suiza Carmen, a model presented last year that uses a dual motor on the rear axle delivering a total output of just over 1,000 CV. These motors are powered by electricity stored in an 80 kWh battery pack. The price of each of the 19 units available of this exclusive model is 1.5 million euros. This variant is expected to offer more performance and enjoy greater range on the road.
