HKS prepares one of the most powerful versions of the Nissan GT-R

The specialist tuning house HKS was one of the first to work on the legendary GT-R from Nissan, developing performance upgrade kits and accessories from 1989 with the R32 through to the latest Skyline model, the R35.
Now, drawing on 35 years of experience in drag racing, rallying and speed competition, they are preparing a new kit for the GT-R, a kit that is without a doubt synonymous with high performance.
The company’s most recent package was the GT570 racing kit. Still on sale in the United States for around $5,700, the kit turns the GT-R into a car suited only to competition, including new spark plugs, reinforced pistons, a width 75mm greater, and a new set of valves.
HKS has now published an updated package for two lines, the Sport line and the Racing line. The new package is called the GT600 and is based on the previous GT570. Essentially, it adds a large-diameter intake kit, a fuel pressure regulator and a new fuel pump. The only difference between the Sport and Racing kits is the exhaust system fitted to the Sport kit, since lower noise emissions were required so the car could meet Japanese noise regulations.
According to HKS’s own dyno tests, the GT600 kit will give the GT-R 592 CV. There are no dates or prices for the kit yet, but rumours suggest it will be available for around $9,000
