Hyundai, the South Korean car company, is present at Mobility City, the first technology museum dedicated to mobility in Spain. This museum, located at the Zaha Hadid Bridge in Zaragoza, has four different spaces where presentations, training, cultural and recreational activities related to the sustainable mobility of the future can be held. Hyundai collaborates with this initiative by presenting the various developments and advances it has made in different electrified technologies, which aim to contribute to sustainable, low-emission mobility.

An innovative, multifunctional space for discovering sustainable mobility

Mobility City is a centre specialised in promoting and disseminating sustainable and future mobility. This centre has four areas dedicated to presentations of products, services, training, and cultural and recreational activities. In the first space, there are temporary exhibitions on mobility, covering more than 1,000 square metres. The second space, where the Hyundai area is located, offers an opportunity to learn about the proposals of various companies and firms dedicated to the development of future mobility.

This exhibition also has a special area for virtual reality, augmented reality and simulator experiences, where visitors can experience, from a first-person perspective, what transport and mobility will be like in the future. In addition, the museum has a multifunctional area for holding product presentations, workshops and various activities.

A new sustainable alternative: the hydrogen fuel cell

During the press conference held at Mobility City, the role of Hyundai in developing sustainable alternatives for the mobility of the future was highlighted. With its motto “Progress for Humanity”, the South Korean company has worked to make mobility cleaner, greener and more environmentally friendly. In this regard, museum visitors will be able to see first-hand the development of the hydrogen fuel cell as an energy source for mobility, and how the Hyundai NEXO model is the best example of the evolution of this technology.

This vehicle, which has a range of more than 660 km and emits no harmful gases, is the result of more than two decades of research and development by Hyundai. It is also important to note that hydrogen offers numerous benefits compatible with sustainable mobility, such as greater range and faster battery charging. Moreover, this technology generates no harmful emissions, since its exhaust emits only water and filtered, purified air thanks to the action of hydrogen. Its use in vehicles such as the NEXO can be an important step towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Hyundai’s five electrified technologies lead the way to a sustainable future

At a recent press conference, Hyundai presented its four electrified technologies, which aim to develop sustainable alternatives for future transport. In addition to the hydrogen fuel cell, the brand offers 48V mild hybrid engines that help reduce consumption and assist acceleration, full hybrids that combine a petrol engine with an electric motor, and plug-in hybrids that offer an electric range of between 52 and 74 km.

Finally, Hyundai also offers 100% electric vehicles that run on batteries recharged from the electricity grid, providing a zero-emission driving experience. With these technologies, the company aims to fulfil its commitment to the environment and a more sustainable future, developing mobility solutions that meet the transport needs of people and society in general, while caring for the planet.
