HYVIA presents the Master Van H2-Tech fuel cell van Renault
Renault and Plug will present their new hydrogen fuel cell van in Spain, which offers a range of 400 kilometers.

The shift towards more sustainable mobility is driving the advance of hydrogen fuel cell technology, as opposed to battery electric cars. HYVIA is a company that was founded less than two years ago and brings together Renault and Plug, a company specialized in developing hydrogen mobility. Its aim is to move forward in this sector and offer suitable solutions for this type of vehicle.
The main problem with electric vans is their very limited range, which can be insufficient for everyday use. In addition, charging times are very long, which prevents these vehicles from being as efficient as needed. With hydrogen, however, this changes completely.

The Renault Master Van H2-Tech is a transport van designed for parcel delivery and similar work, with a capacity of 12 cubic meters. It is designed for intensive use, with many kilometers to cover each day, and to do so efficiently and sustainably.
Its range reaches 400 kilometers and it can refuel its hydrogen tank in just five minutes, allowing it to be ready and prepared for service in very little time. It is equipped with a 30 kW fuel cell, along with a 33 kWh battery and four 1.6 kg hydrogen tanks.
The motors supplied by Plug, like the rest of the fuel cell system, deliver a power of 30 kW and can be used by third-party companies for heavy transport solutions.
HYVIA in Spain
HYVIA wants to showcase this van and to do so has carried out tests in real-world environments in the Netherlands in early May. It has now planned presentations of the fuel cell vehicle in three Spanish cities: Barcelona, Madrid and Zaragoza. Several potential customers will attend the presentations and will be able to see first-hand how this vehicle works and what it can do.
In Barcelona, Mercabarna has been chosen for the presentation, which will take place on May 30. In Zaragoza, the van will be presented on May 31 at the facilities of Carreras Grupo Logístico Plaza, and finally, the last presentation will take place at Mercamadrid on June 1. All three events will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
