Incredible! A WRC driver makes a 50-meter jump
Mads Ostberg has pulled off one of the most spectacular flights in the history of competition with his Ford Fiesta WRC.
The famous jump at the Rally of Finland, known as “Yellow House Jump”, is one of the biggest, toughest and most dangerous on the entire World Rally Championship calendar. It has produced some of the most epic images in the WRC, partly because the Finnish rally is one of the fastest events in the championship. But the jump that driver Mads Ostberg made on the Nordic stage is truly out of this world.

The “Yellow House Jump” is preceded by a fast right-hander followed by a short straight. With the 2017 WRC cars, the approach to the jump is taken at a truly spectacular speed, as we can see in the following video.

On his second pass through the Ouninpohja stage, Ostberg tackled the iconic jump of the Finnish rally at full power from his Ford Fiesta WRC, resulting in one of the longest and most incredible jumps ever seen. The final result? A 50-meter flight that left everyone present, and everyone who has since watched it, open-mouthed. It really is impressive to see, and it makes us think that there are drivers who are not afraid to die.

Here you have a compilation of the best jumps from the 2017 Rally of Finland.
