Infiniti QX80 New York Auto Show SUV
Infiniti QX80 Monograph: the refined version of the premium SUV
Infiniti is set to launch a new version of the QX80. The Monograph variant will be the largest in the company’s range and aims to compete in the luxury SUV segment.

Infiniti will unveil a new edition of the Infiniti QX80 at the New York Auto Show, which is taking place very soon. The QX80 Monograph will be the largest SUV from the luxury brand in Nissan, and although the company has not revealed the details, here is a preview.
Infiniti president Roland Krueger presented the model, saying that “the QX80 Monograph shows our vision of luxury and design on wheels, and represents a venture into how we could improve our Infiniti offering in the luxury SUV segment”.

Although no data has been revealed yet, the Japanese firm has released a teaser showing the exterior of the model. Aesthetically, the most striking element is its large front grille with the brand’s logo positioned in the upper middle part of it. Another element visible in the image is the lower part of the bumper, which incorporates a metal lower guard, very characteristic of SUVs. This element, together with the headlights set higher up on the front grille, gives this model a more serious presence that lends it a more off-road appearance.
Other features that also stand out are the large air intakes on the front and very large alloy wheels fitted with low-profile tyres. As it is a prototype, the absence of exterior mirrors is striking, something we logically expect to see on the final version.
The current Infiniti QX80 was presented in 2014 and has a 5.6-litre V8 engine producing 400 CV, the same performance figures the Monograph version will also have. Based on the new features we see in the images, the Infiniti QX80 Monograph could look very similar on the outside to the QX50 model, presented at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year. We will soon learn more details about this new SUV.
