Jaguar is reportedly preparing a track kit for the XKR-S

While the big British brands are unveiling their new luxury supercars, Jaguar has its best test drivers at the wheel of what will be the fastest model the brand has ever produced. I’m talking about the new aerodynamic kit that is currently being tested on the XKR-S around the Nürburgring curves.

The spy images reveal that the vehicle will feature a track days package with carbon fibre front and rear spoilers, lowered suspension and larger engine air intakes. We can also see high-performance brakes.

Although the interior is hard to make out, World Car Fans claims the cabin has bucket-style front seats. However, the rear seats have been removed to save weight. The prototype also has a roll cage, but it is unclear whether it will be exclusive to the prototype or also fitted to the production model.

Rumours suggest the power delivered to the road could come from a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 capable of producing no less than 600 CV. If true, this would be the most powerful and fastest Jaguar ever built by the brand.
