The Aston Martin Valhalla will become the star of the 25th instalment of the saga of the world’s most famous spy, James Bond.

James Bond will take the wheel of the new Aston Martin Valhalla. Aston Martin recently confirmed that its next supercar with code AM-RB 003 will be called Aston Martin Valhalla. Now, things have gone further, and it has been reported that the new supercar from Aston Martin will star in the new James Bond film.

Some sources claim that the British supercar will make its debut alongside a 1960s Aston Martin DB5 and an original Aston Martin Vantage V8. All three spectacular units will appear in the 25th instalment of the franchise of the world’s most famous agent, James Bond.

Andy Palmer, executive chairman of Aston Martin, has indicated that this information is correct. Many doubts have arisen about the role the Aston Martin Valhalla will play in the new James Bond instalment, as the development of the supercar is still in its early stages and filming is already underway. It is therefore reasonable to assume that the Aston Martin Valhalla that Daniel Craig will drive is a show car and may be powered by a temporary powertrain.

A few weeks ago, we revealed that the Aston Martin Valhalla will be powered by a turbocharged hybrid V6 engine producing approximately 1,000 CV, linked to an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox inspired by Formula 1 and a limited-slip differential with all-wheel drive.

The new Aston Martin Valhalla will have to face off against the new Ferrari SF90 Stradale, which will weigh less than 1,350 kilograms and be capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. It will also reach a top speed of 354 km/h. The new supercar from Aston Martin will sit below the Aston Martin Valkyrie, although it will be much faster and more expensive.

The engine is mid-mounted and will be supported by an electrical system, as we have mentioned, it will be a hybrid sports car. The petrol engine will be installed on a carbon fibre chassis. This lightweight material can also be found in the bodywork.

It is important to note that it is being developed jointly with Red Bull’s advanced technology department, specifically with Red Bull Advanced Technologies. Adrian Newey will also take part in this model, so the experience from competition will be reflected, above all in the aerodynamics.

The Aston Martin Valhalla takes its name from the warriors’ paradise referenced in Norse mythology. The Aston Martin Valhalla will have a production run limited to 500 units, with deliveries beginning in 2021. Its price will start at more than one million dollars in the United States.

The new instalment of the James Bond saga will be the 25th and, although it has no title for now, it will premiere next April 2020. It is worth noting that the first Aston Martin to appear in a James Bond film was the Aston Martin DB5, which appeared in Goldfinger in 1964. It dramatically boosted sales and began a relationship between the franchise and the brand that has lasted more than five decades.
