Jeep Wrangler 2018: new Golden Eagle and JK Edition special editions

Among so many SUVs, there are still true 4x4s. And one of them is the new Jeep Wrangler 2018, which now reaches the market in two new special editions that will delight off-road enthusiasts.

Jeep is launching the new Jeep Wrangler 2018, which was presented at the past Geneva Motor Show. And it does so with two new special editions, which add to the more than 12 the brand has presented over the last five years, among which the Wrangler Artic, Black Edition, Rubicon X, Night Eagle and Willys Wheeler stand out, to name the most successful.

Jeep Wrangler Golden Eagle

The Golden Eagle special series is a tribute from Jeep to the legendary CJ-7, which was manufactured in the 1970s and 1980s, and for which an edition with the same name was offered. It is characterised by the grille in body colour with bronze inserts, a colour that is repeated in the headlight surrounds and the 18-inch alloy wheels. It also includes lower side protections from the Mopar accessories catalogue. The exclusive touch comes with an eagle decal on the bonnet, matching the “Golden Eagle” lettering on the side.

The Golden Eagle edition pays tribute to the legendary Jeep CJ7 of 1979, for which an edition with this same name was also offered.

Inside, the Wrangler Golden Eagle stands out for its bronze contrast stitching, in addition to a multimedia system with a 6.5-inch screen and an audio system signed by Alpine. The Jeep Wrangler Golden Eagle is offered with 2- and 4-door bodywork.

Jeep Wrangler JK Edition

The Wrangler JK Edition is a limited edition of 1,250 units, exclusively for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Jeep announces that it will be the last special edition to be manufactured of the third generation Wrangler JK.

Externally, the Wrangler JK Edition stands out for the option of choosing between a hard top and a spare wheel cover, hard or soft, which can be white or matching the body colour. The 18-inch wheels and the “Power Dome” air intakes on the bonnet complete the bodywork customisation. Inside, special decoration with silver inserts, a numbered plate with the special series on the dashboard, a multimedia system and Alpine audio equipment, and black leather upholstery with grey stitching.

Both the Jeep Wrangler Golden Eagle and the Wrangler JK Edition can be chosen with the 3.6 petrol engine with 284 CV (4-door only) or with the 2.0 turbodiesel with 200 CV, in both cases with a five-speed automatic gearbox.
