Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary: commemorative special edition

In the coming days Jeep will put on sale in our country the limited series of 40 units of the 10th Anniversary edition of the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. This model from the popular off-road brand takes its name from the Rubicon Trail, one of the most famous and demanding off-road trails in the world, located in California.

The exterior equipment is characterized by black wheel arches and by the hood with twin air intakes, with Rock Rails lower side protections from the Mopar accessories catalogue. The new special edition’s equipment is completed by the “10th Anniversary” badge and the “Rubicon” decal on the sides of the hood, along with some minor Mopar cosmetic accessories and 17-inch aluminium wheels.

For further distinctive details relating to the units that will be sold in Spain, in our country the new special edition will come standard with the Freedom Top three-panel hardtop in black and with only two body colours: Metallic Grey, available across the entire Wrangler range, and the exclusive Anvil colour.

The interior features black leather seats with the inscription “Rubicon 10th Anniversary” embroidered on the backrest of the front seats and on the front grab handle on the passenger side. The steering wheel is leather-trimmed and the equipment includes an on-board computer with tyre pressure data, oil temperature and oil pressure.

The equipment consists of front and rear Dana 44 axles, a four-wheel drive system with a Rock-Trac NV241 two-speed transfer case with shift-on-the-fly and a transfer case ratio of 4.0:1, and electronic locking of the Tru-Lok front and rear differentials, allowing low-speed manoeuvres on changes of gradient, on steep climbs and, in general, on surfaces with little grip. Another feature unique to the Rubicon version is the front anti-roll bar disconnect system. The system allows the front anti-roll bar to be disconnected to increase suspension travel and improve traction when tackling a particularly demanding section. It is also equipped with the UConnect Tunes multimedia entertainment system with a 6.5-inch touchscreen, a 30 GB hard drive, a USB port, an auxiliary audio input and a DVD player.

In Spain the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary will be offered with the well-known 2.8 CRD 200 hp engine with automatic gearbox. Prices in Spain will be as follows, including the Jeep launch promotion.
