Kia Ceed 2022, the compact model's range is fully renewed
The model’s facelift brings numerous updates, from the brand’s new logo to many design elements both on the exterior and interior

Kia has just fully renewed the range of one of its most successful models, the Ceed, a model that since its launch in 2006 has become, with its third generation, one of the best-selling families of the Korean brand, reaching a share of 28% of Kia’s total sales in Europe.
The latest generation, on which the new facelift we are about to present is based, has been with us since 2018, so it is an ideal moment to give this model, which is midway through its commercial life, a refresh.
New design elements
The front of the new Kia Ceed 2021 debuts a new front grille with a more open mesh and chrome elements and red accents that give it a sportier look, especially in its GT trim, the most powerful in the range. It also features new headlights with LED technology and a new front bumper that give it greater character.

Its side profile has a skirt with red details for the sportier versions and new alloy wheels in 17 and 18 inches. Kia has expanded its colour palette for the new Ceed, adding four new colours: Machined Bronze, Experience Green, Yucca Steel Grey and Lemon Splash.
The rear also features a new bumper and new honeycomb-design LED taillights with dynamic turn indicators, giving it a very attractive appearance. Not to forget the new brand logo, found on both the rear and the front.

New systems
Inside, Kia has equipped the new Ceed with a new infotainment system featuring a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, as well as a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that displays all vehicle information.
The new front and rear seats are also heated and can be upholstered in five different fabrics offered in the Kia catalogue. The 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel also features the new brand logo.

Under the bonnet, we can fit the 1.0-litre turbo three-cylinder engine that produces 120 CV, which can be paired with a DCT automatic gearbox and a 48V mild-hybrid system. The new Kia Ceed can also be fitted with the 1.6-litre diesel engine producing 136 CV.
Kia also offers a 1.6 GDI petrol engine as a plug-in hybrid for those who want to drive with zero emissions thanks to its electric motor and the 8.9 kWh battery. Customers wanting more power can opt for the 1.5-litre engine with 160 CV or the 1.6 with 204 CV, which is available in the GT trim.

Kia has announced that production of the Ceed family will take place at the brand’s plant in Slovakia next August. However, they will not arrive on the streets until next year.
