Kia pro_cee'd GT, in the summer of 2013

The European crisis is not wreaking havoc on Kia; quite the opposite. Its models, with good finishes and performance as well as competitive prices, are selling very well from dealerships, which is why are becoming one of the brands with the highest sales numbers in recent years.

Much of the credit for this success goes, without a doubt, to its Cee’d. The five-door version is proving to be a hit and, while we wait for the definitive arrival of the pro_cee’d (the three-door version), Kia is whetting our appetite by showing us the first sketch of what will be the climax of this vehicle saga.

Pro_Cee’d GT, for mid-2013

This is the Kia pro_cee’GT, a high-performance model that should arrive at the beginning of next summer, a few months after some less powerful versions hit the market. This new model will feature an interesting 1.6 GDi turbocharged petrol engine which, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, would deliver considerable power –we don’t have the figures yet–.

No further details are known about performance, finishes, exterior design, or prices. Furthermore, we don’t know whether it will have a dual-clutch DCT automatic transmission or whether it will keep only the manual…
