Kia Sorento Black Edition: limited edition with more equipment

The new Kia Sorento Black Edition may catch the eye with its elegant and sophisticated exterior look, the result of incorporating various decorative elements in glossy black. For example, this treatment is applied to the front grille surround, the roof rails and the door mirror housings. These are combined with dark chrome on the windows and side sills, which stand out depending on the available body colours: pearl black and pearl white, metallic grey and graphite.

But without a doubt, the best thing about the limited special series of the Kia Sorento is its extensive standard equipment, and the possibility of choosing between the three powertrain options offered in the range: the diesel engine with 194 CV, the self-charging hybrid with 230 CV, or the plug-in hybrid version with 265 CV. Prices for these Black Edition versions start at 58,176 euros for the 2.2 CRDi DCT 4×4, 55,113 euros for the Sorento HEV, and from 65,900 euros for the plug-in hybrid. These prices include discounts of around 260 euros for the diesel and up to 2,100 euros for the hybrid version; the plug-in hybrid has no discount.

The most complete equipment

The Black Edition special series is based on the Kia Sorento in Emotion trim, the highest in the range. It includes a very complete equipment list, covering comfort features as well as safety and multimedia systems. Among other items, the following are standard: leather upholstery, heated front and rear seats, the Supervision digital instrument cluster, the Kia Connect system with a 10.25-inch screen, the head-up display projecting instrumentation onto the windscreen, and Bose audio.

The safety equipment includes all the elements in the KIA Drive Wise package (from active cruise control to sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring or driver assistant with lane following assist in heavy traffic), plus the parking assistance camera with rear collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic alert and remote smart parking assist.
