Kicherer GL 42 Sport Black, based on the GL

The German tuner Kicherer brings us today a special edition of the Mercedes GL 420 CDI under the name Kicherer GL 42 Sport Black. The most important changes are found on the exterior of the vehicle, characterised by the matte black colour.

Alongside this, it adds new 22-inch alloy wheels. As for its engine, the Kicherer GL 42 Sport Black features the 4.2-litre V8, uprated to 380 CV, and produces a peak torque of 900 Nm. In comparison, the standard Mercedes GL 420 CDI has 306 CV.

Other important changes affect the exhaust system, which makes the engine sound more aggressive and improves throttle response. It also revises the Airmatic suspension towards a more sporty character. Inside, the changes are mainly limited to a new sport steering wheel.
