The Italian manufacturer has replaced its previous Gallardo Polizia with the new LP560/4, which was donated today at a ceremony.

The sports car will be used as a service patrol car on the motorways of southern and central Italy, as well as for transporting emergency medical supplies.

The car’s performance does not differ from the factory model; however, the interior is equipped with an advanced video surveillance system, a GPS data logger, radar, firearms, a digital video system capable of transmitting live images to the locker room, a holster, a police radio, and a light bar with a Stop sign.

Like its predecessor, the new patrol car will also be used outside Italian borders, and it is planned to be displayed in other countries.

In this way, the Italian police is launching a new generation of patrol cars characterised by being high-performance sports cars that bear the emblem of Lamborghini as their badge.
