Lamborghini has sold out its production for 2008

We reported some time ago that sales of Lamborghini were booming, but Auto Motor Und Sport claims that its 2008 production is completely sold out and that it will not be increased despite this. The decision was taken by the Lamborghini manager, who said he wants the brand to remain synonymous with exclusivity:
We are focusing on gradual, controlled growth of 5% per year.
Sales rose from 2,087 units in 2006 to 2,400 in 2007. Stefan Winkelmann expects this year’s sales to be comparable with the 1,800 Gallardos and 600 Murciélago LP640s he sold in 2007.
