Lavazza GTX-R by Simbol Design

Lavazza_1Simbol Design, a very small and not well-known Italian carmaker, has released photos of its latest and most sporty model, the Lavazza GTX-R. You have most likely been struck first by its exterior design. It is a blend of the Ferrari Enzo and the Pagani Zonda, built out of Lego pieces.

On the other hand, the interior has little to do with either of these two sports cars. In the only available photo of it, we can appreciate the use of quality materials covering a clean and simple cabin design. The steering wheel is removable, in the style of racing cars, judging by the cable hanging from it.

According to the website of Simbol Design, the engine powering this car is a V12 with 620 CV, an enormous output to move just 1,080 kg. Its excellent drag coefficient, Cx of 0.19, is striking; and its relatively poor acceleration, 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds.

The bodywork is made of carbon fibre and Kevlar, the structure it rests on is stainless steel, and the transmission is a 6-speed electro-pneumatic unit with controls behind the steering wheel. In addition, the roof can be removed to turn the Lavazza into a convertible. As for the price, it is not known.
