For 2014, Lexus has updated its GS 450h hybrid saloon, equipping it with the safety systems first introduced on its smaller sibling in the range, the Lexus IS 300h, along with other aesthetic improvements and upgrades to its equipment.

Among the safety system improvements is the addition of a colour Head-Up Display and the RCTA system. The former is a colour display that allows the driver to see basic vehicle information more clearly without taking their eyes off the road.

The RCTA system, for its part, detects approaching vehicles from behind when reversing out of a perpendicular parking space, alerting the driver with both an audible warning and a visual one on the wing mirrors. In terms of design, the Lexus GS 450h features new front fog lamps with LED technology, a smaller design that improves road illumination.

In addition, the front and rear parking sensors have been updated and are now better integrated. The Lexus GS 450h is available in three additional colours: Starlight Black, Dark Blue and Nova White, and with 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. Finally, the price list for the updated version:

  • GS 450h Hybrid Drive – 70,700 €
  • GS 450h Hybrid Plus – 85,500 €
  • GS 450h F Sport – 88,000 €
